I just listened to an interview w/ the guy behind “Mr. Deity“. He did describe himself as a “Formon” — or former Mormon.
The interview is mildly interesting. There are some off-color things in there, so beware of that.
The group conducting the interview is “The Institute for Humanist Studies“, which basically takes the position that we’d all be better off not believing in God. They even have a charter school! 
Anyway, I think it’s kinda interesting. I do wish folks wouldn’t mock other’s beliefs.
